Here's a fun little game for all firmware versions. Developed using nothing but ASCII art and the GFX library for the 2.8 SDK. Currently, it has 3 powerups that are randomly spat out, but the odds of you actually getting one spat out are about 1 and 10,000, there fore I've added some... cheats... Only allowed once per game as one could easily make nothing out of the bricks ;)

The controls are in the intro, but here they are anyway:

----- Controls -----

D-Pad - Paddle Movement
Start - Pause
HOME - Exit (when paused)
Music Note - Screenshot

Currently, there are only 3 powerups:

----- Powerups -----

Super Ball - Just as the name states. Turns your ball 'invincible' for a period of time. Invincible meaning it isn't effected by the bricks, allowing the ball to go right through the bricks.

Reverse - Just as the name states. Inverts the D-Pad controls. (Left becomes right, and vice versa)

Laser Gun - Just as the name states. Mounts 1 laser right in the middle of your paddle for a period of time. Fire lsaer with X.

More to come if I get enough good feedback.

So, hope you 2.8 users acknowledge that there are people out there thinking about you, and that I am one of them =-) I'd appreciate a vote at the psp3d.com contest being held if you enjoy'd this game and want to see further developements for 2.8 (emulator 80% completion) and that I'd love to know Im supported. So please, vote for me in the psp3d.com contest if you wish for me to keep helping 2.8 users alive. (Possibly 2.71 below as well :X)

----- BUGS -----
* Sound is a little delayed, but hey... What can you do? (seriously?)
* Diagonal collision at the right angle causes a 'super ball' effect as collision diagonally is completely rotten... So i removed it, just use the angles to your advantage ;)
* Ball may appear in the paddle when actually dead, that is because of a split second thing where you CAN move the paddle at a certain moment causing the ball to be ON the paddle, but not have any effect
